U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Campbell returns home following 75-day multi-mission patrol

NEWPORT, R.I.  — The crew of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Campbell (WMEC 909) returned to their home port in Newport, Friday, following a 75-day multi-mission patrol to the South Florida Straits and Windward Passage. Campbell deployed in support of Homeland Security Task Force – Southeast and Operation Vigilant Sentry within the Coast Guard Seventh District’s area of responsibility. Campbell’s crew conducted maritime safety and security missions while working to detect, deter, and intercept unsafe and illegal maritime migration ventures bound for the United States. Over the course of the patrol, Campbell’s crew rescued, cared for and repatriated 111 migrants.

Coast Guard Cutter crews conduct first high-seas boardings off the coast of Peru, under new SPRFMO measure

The crews of the Coast Guard Cutters Alder, Terrell Horne and an HC-130 Hercules aircraft recently completed the first high-seas boardings and inspections, in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, under a newly adopted conservation and management measure to monitor and inspect fishing and transshipment operations at-sea in the South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organization (SPRFMO) Convention Area.

After upholding fishery laws and conducting exercises with Mexican Navy, U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Reliance arrives back in Pensacola

PENSACOLA, Fla. — The crew of U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Reliance (WMEC 615) returned to their home port in Pensacola on Monday, following a 60-day patrol in the Florida Straits and throughout the Gulf of Mexico. During the patrol, Reliance enforced fishery laws to ensure the safety of commercial fishing vessels and marine resources in the Coast Guard’s Eighth District.

Coast Guard Cutter Valiant returns home after $30 million drug seizure, rescue of 2

MAYPORT, Fla.— The crew of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Valiant (WMEC 621) returned home, Thursday, to Naval Station Mayport after completing a 49-day deployment in the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, and Florida Straits. Patrolling in support of the Homeland Security Task Force – Southeast’s Operation Vigilant Sentry and Joint Interagency Task Force-South, in the Seventh Coast Guard District’s area of responsibility, Valiant’s crew conducted maritime safety and security missions.

Coast Guard terminates an illegal charter operating in the San Diego Bay

SAN DIEGO — Coast Guard terminates an illegal charter operating in the vicinity of the USS Midway in the San Diego Bay, on Oct. 6, 2023. A Coast Guard boarding team conducted a safety inspection of the vessel, which had 14 individuals on board, including 12 passengers for hire and two non-credentialed crew members.
