Unified Command transitions from shipboard fire response to investigation and salvage operations at Port Newark

PORT NEWARK, New Jersey – The Unified Command consisting of the U.S. Coast Guard, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Newark Fire Department, and Gallagher Marine Systems has successfully concluded shipboard fire response operations at Port Newark and is transitioning to the investigation and salvage operations. Coast Guard repatriates 27 migrants to Dominican Republic, following vessel interdiction in Mona Passage

The crew of Coast Guard Cutter Richard Dixon crew repatriated 27 migrants to Dominican Republic, Monday, following the interdiction of a makeshift vessel in Mona Passage waters northwest of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Most of the interdicted migrants claimed to be Dominican Republic nationals except for three Haitian nationals.

French, Canadian, U.S. Forces collaborate with local responders in successful rescue operation off Rota, CNMI

SANTA RITA, Guam — French, Canadian, and U.S. Forces, with local responders, successfully conducted a search and rescue operation to save the operator and passengers of a distressed vessel off the coast of Rota, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, on July 10. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of local partnerships and the utilization of aircraft resources, all 11 people from the center console fishing vessel are safely in Rota.
