Media Advisory: Coast Guard, partner agencies to hold safe boating press briefing ahead of Memorial Day weekend

WHO: The Coast Guard, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), Mayor Daniella Levine Cava of Miami-Dade County, and representatives from Miami-Dade Police and Fire Rescue, City of Miami Police and Fire Rescue, Miami Beach Police, and North Bay Village Police.

WHAT: Press briefing to promote safe boating for National Safe Boating Week and a life jacket demonstration ahead of the Memorial Day Weekend.

WHEN: Thursday, May 23 at 10 a.m.

WHERE: Crandon Park Marina Boat Ramp, 4000 Crandon Boulevard, Key Biscayne, FL., 33149

WHY: With the increase in boating traffic as the Memorial Day weekend approaches, the Coast Guard, FWC, Miami-Dade County mayor's office and marine law enforcement partners and local first responders invite all media to attend the press briefing to help emphasize and promote the importance of safe boating practices to the South Florida boating public.
