U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy unite for maritime rescue, emphasizing community ties in FSM
SANTA RITA, Guam — Three mariners are safe on April 9, 2024, thanks to the coordination of U.S. Coast Guard Forces Micronesia/Sector Guam and the U.S. Navy, after being stranded on Pikelot Atoll, Yap State, Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), for more than a week. Responders successfully located the three mariners on Pikelot Atoll on the evening of April 9 and returned them and their outboard 100 nautical miles to Polowat Atoll, Chuuk State.

The Coast Guard suspended its active search for a missing boater Monday at 8:20 p.m. off the coast of North Carolina.

FINAL UPDATE: The Unified Command successfully completed a line integrity test on the Main Pass Oil Gathering (MPOG) company's pipeline system Friday, near Plaquemines Parish, southeast of New Orleans.
Coast Guard Port Security Units to conduct training exercise in Puerto Rico
Coast Guard Reserve crews from three Port Security Units (PSU) will be conducting exercise “Poseidon’s Domain” along the northeast coast of Puerto Rico from April 8 to April 25. The exercise will train crews from PSUs 305, 307 and 309 on Coast Guard Reserve PSU functions in support of national defense and homeland security missions.

U.S. Coast Guard continues to strengthen ties with Republic of Palau

This strategic engagement, part of a series of bilateral discussions aimed at bolstering mutual defense and security initiatives, saw key representatives from both nations deliberating on a wide range of topics crucial to the partnership.
Coast Guard searching for missing boater off North Carolina coast
The Coast Guard continues search efforts for a missing boater Sunday between Blackjack and Steeples, North Carolina. Missing is Jeffrey Kale, 47, from Clover, South Carolina, last seen around 4 p.m. Saturday, aboard a white 32-foot Cape Horn center-console boat departing the Southport Wildlife Boat Ramp.
