Coast Guard holds Assumption of Command ceremony for Marine Safety Detachment Lewes
BALTIMORE — Lt. Danielle Taylor will assume command of the newly established Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit Lewes as the unit’s first commanding officer during an assumption of command ceremony at the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal in Lewes, Delaware, May 29, 2024. Taylor, the current supervisor of Marine Safety Detachment Lewes which will be disestablished, will be the first Coast Guard commanding officer in Delaware and is a significant milestone in the local marine safety community.
