Coast Guard Captain of the Port for Sector St. Petersburg sets Port Condition X-Ray
CLEARWATER, Fla. — The Coast Guard Captain of the Port for Sector St. Petersburg set Port Condition X-Ray for the ports of Tampa, St. Petersburg, Manatee, and Fort Myers, Monday, due to forecasted sustained gale force winds between 39 and 73 mph generated by Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine that may arrive within 48 hours.

Coast Guard suspends search for missing swimmers off Virginia Beach
The Coast Guard suspended its search at noon Sunday for two men off Virginia Beach. Coast Guard Sector Virginia watchstanders received a report at approximately 8:30 p.m., Saturday of three swimmers in distress near Virginia Beach. Nearly 10 minutes after the initial report one of the swimmers was recovered unconscious on the beach and immediately received medical attention prior to being transported to a local hospital for further care.

KEY WEST, Fla. – A Coast Guard Station Key West law enforcement boat crew boarded a commercial fishing vessel, Thursday, approximately 12 miles off the Marquesas Keys, for a routine commercial fishing vessel safety inspection and discovered the crew was fishing with an expired permit.

HONOLULU — Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Joshua Marzilli, a boatswain’s mate stationed aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Harriet Lane, received a Coast Guard Medal for his actions during the Lahaina wildfire in a ceremony aboard the Harriet Lane, Thursday.

HONOLULU — The Coast Guard successfully rescued three people from a sinking recreational vessel approximately nine nautical miles south of Honolulu Harbor on Thursday.
