Welcome to the Coast Guard's Public Affairs Detachment Texas.

PADET Texas is a sub-office of the Coast Guard’s Heartland District Headquarters in New Orleans, which is responsible for Coast Guard activities in 26 states. The detachment is responsible for media relations for all of Texas and up to Lake Charles, Louisiana. A majority of our activity is along the Gulf of Mexico.
