MEDIA AVAILABILITY: Third New England-based Fast Response Cutter to arrive in Boston
BOSTON — Coast Guard Cutter Maurice Jester (WPC-1152) is scheduled to arrive Wednesday, following a transit from Key West. The newly-built Maurice Jester was accepted by the Coast Guard on March 2, and will be one of six new Fast Response Cutters homeported in Boston. The cutter's arrival will include a water salute from the Boston Fire Department and air escort by an Air Station Cape Cod, Mass., MH-60 Jayhawk crew. Crew families, and Coast Guard personnel will be providing a pier side welcoming party for their arrival. Follow the link to read the full release
USCGC Oliver Henry returns to Guam after strengthening partnerships in Oceania during mission to combat illegal fishing in Pacific
SANTA RITA, Guam —The crew of USCGC Oliver Henry (WPC 1140) returned to Guam on April 9, 2023, following a 30-day expeditionary patrol in support of the Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency's Operation 365 and Operation Rematau to stop illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing in the Pacific.

The crews of the Guam-based 154-foot Sentinel-class Fast Response Cutters made a name for themselves in 2022, with over 240 days away from homeport in service to Pacific partners and the Nation. The support staff is one of the oft-overlooked enablers of this strategy aboard field assets. In the case of USCGC Oliver Henry (WPC 1140), one of these key personnel is Petty Officer 1st Class Joshua Anthony Dydasco Pablo, the lead culinary specialist.

Mexico, U.S. Coast Guard seek information on missing sailors
The Mexican Navy, with assistance from the U.S. Coast Guard, is searching for three American sailors, last heard from April 4, near Mazatlán, Mexico. Three persons aboard the sailing vessel Ocean Bound, a 44-foot La Fitte, reportedly left Mazatlán en route to San Diego. The sailors planned to stop in Cabo San Lucas on April 6 to report in and reprovision before continuing on to San Diego. However, they never reported in and never arrived in Cabo San Lucas.
