Coast Guard Sector Juneau, contractors successfully recover submerged tugboat

JUNEAU, Alaska – Recovery of the tugboat Tagish was successful, and the vessel was secured on the beach at the National Guard Dock in Gastineau Channel, Sunday February 19th.

Coast Guard Cutter Juniper returns to homeport after completing a 43-day Operation Blue Pacific patrol

HONOLULU - The Coast Guard Cutter Juniper (WLB 201) returns to homeport in Honolulu after a mission in the Pacific to deter illegal fishing and support partner nation’s sovereignty as part of Operation Blue Pacific.

The William Hart is one of six highly capable FRCs stationed throughout District 14. Their crews provide year-round search and rescue and maritime law enforcement coverage across a 15 million square mile area of responsibility, demonstrating the Coast Guard’s commitment to our partner nations across the Blue Pacific.

Search continues after Coast Guard, Good Samaritan vessel rescue 1 of 2 overdue fishermen stranded on Mona Island, Puerto Rico

A Coast Guard MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter aircrew and a Good Samaritan vessel rescued one of two overdue fishermen Monday, after he was found stranded on Mona Island, Puerto Rico. Still missing is Wilson Negrón, while rescued is Luis Eliel Guerra, 29, after he was found by a Good Samaritan vessel stranded on ‘Pajaros Beach’ on the south coast of Mona Island, Puerto Rico.
