USCGC Campbell returns home following 59-day multi-mission patrol in the Florida Straits and Windward Passage
NEWPORT, R.I. — The crew of the USCGC Campbell (WMEC 909) returned to their home port in Newport, Saturday, following a 59-day patrol to the South Florida Straits and Windward Passage.
Coast Guard repatriates, transfers 68 people to Cuba, Bahamas
MIAMI — Coast Guard crews repatriated 50 people to Cuba and transferred 18 people to the Bahamas, following three interdictions off the coasts of Florida and Bahamas, in the past week. “The Coast Guard and our federal partners maintain a continual presence with air and sea assets in the Florida Straits and Caribbean Sea,” said Lt. Connor Ives, Coast Guard District 7 response enforcement officer. “People attempting to migrate illegally into the U.S., will be interdicted, repatriated, or sent back to the country of origin.”

Title 42 termination does not alter maritime migration policies
MIAMI — The termination of Title 42 public health order does not alter the maritime migration policies, and the U.S. maritime borders remain closed. Title 42 never applied to migrants interdicted at sea. The Task Force is monitoring the situation to ensure misinformation among diaspora communities or disinformation spread by human smugglers does not encourage increased attempts to reach the United States by sea.

Coast Guard suspends search for 3 after plane crash near San Clemente Island
The Coast Guard has suspended its active search for three people after a report of an aircraft emergency and a debris field was located approximately one mile southwest of San Clemente Island, Wednesday morning. The U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection all provided search assets and searched a combined 334 square miles in the vicinity of the downed Phoenix Air Learjet with negative results.
