HONOLULU — The Coast Guard and local partners are searching for a missing kayaker off Tavares Beach, Friday.
Port Security Unit 313 conducts joint training with King County Metro
SEATTLE — U.S. Coast Guard Port Security Unit 313 partnered with King County Metro Transit in Elliot Bay last month to perform an innovative joint training exercise that involved the MV Sally Fox, a 104-foot passenger-only ferry operated by King County Water Taxi.

The Coast Guard Investigative Service is seeking the public’s assistance with information regarding a search and rescue hoax transmission.
Coast Guard, partners continue response efforts for vessel Bonnie G aground in St. Thomas
The Coast Guard established a safety zone around the cargo vessel Bonnie G grounding site, Friday, as the Incident Command continues coordinated efforts with partner agencies in support of the ongoing response. The safety zone extends one quarter mile around the Bonnie G for the duration of the response. Commercial and recreational vessel traffic should remain clear of this area for their safety and the safety of response crews working the site.

U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Healy departs Tromsø, Norway following engagements with Norwegian Coast Guard, maritime government officials
TROMSØ, NORWAY- U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Healy (WAGB 20) departed Tromsø, Norway, Thursday, following a four-day port call, in which the Healy crew conducted joint operations with the Norwegian Coast Guard Vessel Svalbard, hosted a U.S. Coast Guard Research and Development Center (RDC) “science roundtable,” and welcomed aboard guests from a variety of institutions with interest in the Arctic and Healy’s science mission. Tromsø is Healy’s first port of call since departing Kodiak, Alaska, in late August embarking on a five-week long mission supporting the Nansen and Amundsen Basins Observational System (NABOS).
