Coast Guard offloads nearly $94.5 million in illegal narcotics in Fort Lauderdale from Operation Pacific Viper

MIAMI – Coast Guard Cutter Seneca’s crew offloaded more than 12,750 pounds of cocaine and marijuana with an approximate street value of $94.5 million in Port Everglades, Tuesday.

Coast Guard awards contract for new heavy weather surf boats

The Coast Guard awarded an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract on Sept. 29 to Rozema Boat Works, Inc. of Mount Vernon, Washington, to acquire up to six second-generation special-purpose craft – heavy weather (SPC-HWX II) boats.

Coast Guard interdicts 7 aliens in Mission Bay, Calif.

SAN DIEGO — Coast Guard Station San Diego response boat crew members interdicted seven aliens aboard a 25-foot cuddy cabin vessel approximately 7 miles west of Mission Bay, California, Sunday evening.

In San Diego, a Coast Guard Sector San Diego boarding team interdicted four aliens aboard a 36-foot sailboat in Mission Bay, California, Saturday.

Coast Guard suspends searches for two men off Kauai

HONOLULU – The Coast Guard suspended two separate searches at 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Saturday for two missing men offshore Kauai.

Coast Guard sets Port Conditions for Georgia, South Carolina

Coast Guard captains of the ports set port conditions, Friday, for the Ports of Brunswick, Savannah, coastal South Carolina and all other terminals and facilities due to forecasted sustained tropical storm force winds generated by Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine that may arrive within 24 to 48 hours.

Update: Unified Command concludes response to sunken vessel in Sinclair Inlet

Seattle—A unified command consisting of the Coast Guard, Washington Department of Ecology, and Washington Department of Natural Resources has concluded its response to the 108-foot vessel, Cairdeas, which sank in Sinclair Inlet near Bremerton, Sept. 7.
