New Coast Guard Accepted Organization

The Coast Guard Office of Commercial Vessel Compliance, Fishing Vessel Safety Division (CG-CVC-3) is pleased to announce that the National Association of Marine Surveyors (NAMS) has been approved as a Coast Guard “Accepted Organization”, authorized to perform vessel new construction project oversight and certifications in accordance with 46 U.S.C. § 4503(d)(2).

Sexual assault and sexual harassment have no place in the maritime industry and the Coast Guard is committed to investigating all reports. Mariners and aspiring mariners have the right to work in an environment free from the fear of being sexually assaulted or sexually harassed.
