New Coast Guard Accepted Organization

The Coast Guard Office of Commercial Vessel Compliance, Fishing Vessel Safety Division (CG-CVC-3) is pleased to announce that the National Association of Marine Surveyors (NAMS) has been approved as a Coast Guard “Accepted Organization”, authorized to perform vessel new construction project oversight and certifications in accordance with 46 U.S.C. § 4503(d)(2). A current list of Coast Guard-approved organizations authorized to perform commercial fishing vessel new construction project oversight and certification functions is available on the Construction Rules on Commercial Fishing Vessels page at:
