U.S. Coast Guard established the Office of Maritime Cybersecurity Policy

In order to proactively adapt to a rapidly changing world and ensure the continued safety and security of the Marine Transportation System against a continually-evolving threat landscape, the Coast Guard has established the Office of Maritime Cybersecurity Policy under the Assistant Commandant for Prevention Policy.

Coast Guard Cyber on Cyber Awareness Month

October marks Cybersecurity Awareness Month, focusing on the importance of cybersecurity. Increased awareness empowers defenders to strengthen their cybersecurity stance. Coast Guard Cyber Command (CGCyber) has partnered with numerous other federal agencies and U.S. allies to defend our nations cyber space and create meaningful resources and messaging in order to increase our nation’s cyber awareness. These partnerships and coordinated efforts are vital to the fight against malicious cyber activity.
