Re-solicitation for applications for the National Commercial Fishing Safety Advisory Committee

Dec. 8, 2025

The United States Coast Guard is seeking applications for all eighteen positions on the National Commercial Fishing Safety Advisory Committee. If applicants have successfully submitted to the first solicitation the applicant does not need to re-apply.

A Federal Register Notice published on November 19, 2025 communicated information regarding the solicitation for committee membership. Complete applications should reach the U.S. Coast Guard on or before January 5, 2026.

Applications must include:

  • A cover letter that expresses the applicant’s interest in an appointment to the Committee and details the applicant’s qualifications to serve as a Special Government Employee representing the general public, and/or as a representative in one or more of the 18 other membership positions.
  • Applicants should specifically state what position(s) they are seeking in their cover letter.
  • A resume detailing the applicant’s relevant experience for the position applied for, and;
  • A brief 2–3 paragraph biography written in third person. Applications should be submitted via email with subject line ‘‘NCFSAC Vacancy Application’’ to CGCVC3@uscg.mil.

If interested in applying to become a member of the Committee, email your application to CGCVC3@uscg.mil. The Coast Guard will not consider incomplete or late applications.
