The U.S. Coast Guard announced in the Federal Register that it is seeking input from the public to better understand the operations of multi-service vessels (MSVs), specifically regarding the use of vessels of opportunity (VOOs).  Public feedback will help to assess the current state of MSVs and VOOs in support of the marine transportation system and oil spill response activities.

Comments must be received by the Coast Guard on or before November 30, 2025. (60 days after publication.)

You may submit comments using the Federal Docket Management System at https://www.regulations.gov under docket number USCG-2025-0248.
