Marine Safety Information Bulletins 04-25 and 05-25: Public Portal Website for Civil Penalty and Suspension & Revocation Enforcement Cases

Sept. 3, 2025

The U.S. Coast Guard recently released two Marine Safety Information Bulletins (MSIBs) providing information about the new Public Portal website for its Marine Information for Safety and Law Enforcement (MISLE) data system that provides the ability for members of the public to access civil penalty and suspension & revocation enforcement cases they are associated with.

MSIB 04-25, New Public Portal Website for Civil Penalty Enforcement Cases, provides guidance on the use of the new website for individuals and companies that are the party, or counsel for the party, in a civil penalty action initiated by the U.S. Coast Guard in accordance with 33 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Subpart 1.07.

MSIB 05-25, New Public Portal Website for Suspension & Revocation Proceedings, provides guidance on the use of the new website for merchant mariners, and their attorneys or other duly authorized representatives, when they are the respondent in suspension & revocation proceedings initiated by the U.S. Coast Guard in accordance with 33 CFR Part 20 and 46 CFR Part 5.

For this, and other U.S. Coast Guard MSIBs, please visit the Marine Safety Information Bulletins page at Marine Safety Information Bulletins (uscg.mil).
