Marine Safety Information Bulletin (MSIB) 02-25: Registration of Distress Alert Devices & Cancelling False Distress Alerts

The Coast Guard recently released Marine Safety Information Bulletin (MSIB) 02-25: Registration of Distress Alert Devices & Cancelling False Distress Alerts. This bulletin reminds U.S. vessel owners and operators using distress alert devices of the importance and regulatory requirement to register these devices, as well as the requirements for cancelling false distress alerts.
