Coast Guard intercepts suspected maritime smuggling attempt off San Diego

SAN DIEGO — The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Terrell Horne interdicted 3 aliens aboard a 20-foot pleasure craft approximately two miles south of Point Loma, California, Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 2:40 p.m., Coast Guard Cutter Terrell Horne conducted a routine security boarding of a 20-foot pleasure craft. The vessel displayed no registration or documentation and none of the occupants had authorization to enter the United States.

Terrell Horne crew transported the suspected smuggling vessel and aliens to Ballast point where they were transferred to awaiting Department of Homeland Security partners.
