Coast Guard interdicts 11 aliens 13 miles northwest of San Diego

SAN DIEGO — The Coast Guard interdicted 11 suspected aliens approximately 13 miles northwest off the coast of Mission Bay, San Diego, Tuesday.

At approximately 8 a.m., a boarding team from Coast Guard Cutter Forrest Rednour (WPC 1129) intercepted an 18-foot panga with 11 aliens aboard, all claiming Mexican nationality. 

The Coast Guard transported the vessel and all 11 aliens to another Department of Homeland Security agency at Ballast Point.
