Update 2: Port Condition WHISKEY Set for Ports of Saipan and Tinian 

Coast Guard Forces Micronesia / Sector Guam Public Affairs - (671) 688-6096

SANTA RITA, Guam — The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port Forces Micronesia/Sector Guam has set Port Heavy Weather Condition (PHWC) WHISKEY for the Port of Saipan and the Port of Tinian, effective 0630 ChST, Aug. 22, 2026.

The Port of Saipan and the Port of Tinian are open for commercial traffic and cargo operations.

Tropical Storm Saudel no longer threatens the ports, but mariners are urged to transit the area with caution in the event of any shifting or shoaling within the channel.

Mariners are asked to report any Aids to Navigation discrepancies to the U.S. Coast Guard Forces Micronesia / Sector Guam Command Center via VHF 16/22A or by phone at (671) 355-4821.
