SAN DIEGO — A Coast Guard cutter Forrest Rednour (WPC-1129) boarding team interdicted five suspected aliens approximately 11 miles offshore of Point Loma, Sunday.
At 2:22 a.m., crew members identified a 20-foot cuddy cabin vessel and launched a boarding team to investigate.
Boarding team members approached the vessel and gained compliance without the use of force and detained the five suspected aliens.
All five were transported to Ballast Point and transferred to U.S. Border Patrol agents for further investigation.
