Media advisory: federal, local public safety agencies to host World Cup safety and security press conference

SEATTLE — The U.S. Coast Guard is hosting federal and local agencies involved in safety and security for the World Cup to collectively showcase each agency’s role during the event and provide important public safety information to the media. 

WHO: 

Federal Agencies:  

  • United States Secret Service (USSS) -  

  • Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)  

  • Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI)  

  • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) 

  • US. Coast Guard (USCG) 

Seattle FIFA World Cup 26™ 

  • Chief Security Officer 

King County Agencies:  

  • King County Sheriff 

City of Seattle Agencies: 

  • Seattle Police Department 

  • Seattle Fire Department 

WHEN: Monday, June 8, 2026, at 10 a.m. Media is requested to arrive by 9:30 a.m. 

WHERE: Coast Guard Base Seattle, 1519 Alaskan Way South Seattle, WA, 98134.
