Media Advisory: Coast Guard, partner agencies to hold safe boating press briefing ahead of Memorial Day Weekend

WHO: The Coast Guard, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), and representatives from Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office and Fire Rescue, and City of Miami Fire Rescue.

WHAT: Press briefing to promote safe boating for National Safe Boating Week and a life jacket demonstration ahead of the Memorial Day Weekend.

WHEN: Thursday, May 21 at 10 a.m.

WHERE: Watson Island Public Boat Ramp, 1050 MacArthur Causeway, Miami, FL, 33132

WHY: With the increase in boating traffic as the Memorial Day weekend approaches, the Coast Guard, FWC, and marine law enforcement partners and local first responders invite all media to attend the press briefing to help emphasize and promote the importance of safe boating practices to the South Florida boating public.
