Photo Release: U.S. Coast Guard Academy Class of 2026 Billet Night

U.S. Coast Guard Academy

NEW LONDON, Conn.  — On March 5, 2026, approximately 260 cadets from the Class of 2026 received their first assignments during Billet Night at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
During the event, each cadet was called forward to receive their “billet,” their assignment to a Coast Guard unit and job where they will begin their careers as military officers following graduation. From cutters at sea to basic flight school and operational commands across the country, the assignments mark the start of their transition from cadets to Coast Guard leaders.

Billet Night is one of the most anticipated traditions of first class year. For the graduating class, it is the moment they learn where their service will begin and the first step in their careers as military officers serving the Nation.
