JUNEAU, Alaska   The Coast Guard rescued two people from a fishing vessel that ran aground in Pasagshak Bay offshore Kodiak, Wednesday.

At 7:08 a.m., watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Western Alaska and U.S. Arctic command center received a report from the fishing vessel Quantum they were taking on water approximately two miles offshore Kodiak.

Watchstanders issued an Urgent Marine Information Broadcast, and good Samaritan vessels confirmed two people were on board wearing survival suits.
