WASHINGTON — The U.S. Coast Guard will host the "Coast Guard Robotic Systems Expo: A Force Design 2028 Showcase" to highlight its leadership in the development, acquisition, and deployment of robotic and autonomous systems (RAS)/uncrewed systems (UxS). This technology display and demonstration will provide invited media access to rarely seen technology, underscoring the Service's innovation and early transformation through Force Design 2028 (FD2028). The establishment of the RAS Program Executive Office (PEO) provides an opportunity to showcase future plans.
WHO: Opening remarks by Vice Adm. Thomas Allan, acting Vice Commandant. Coast Guard subject matter experts will be available to provide comments regarding each technology or program. Key participants include representatives from FD2028, the RAS PEO, and the Coast Guard Research and Development Center.
WHAT: RAS expo providing access to a range of surface, air, undersea, and land robotics autonomous systems being prototyped or operationally fielded by the Coast Guard and the winging of the Coast Guard’s first Long Range Unmanned Aircraft System aviator.
WHEN: Tuesday, Aug. 26th, at 10:00 a.m.
WHERE: Coast Guard Headquarters Ceremonial Entrance, Washington, D.C.
