MEDIA ADVISORY: U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Eagle is scheduled to visit San Diego, Aug. 8

SAN DIEGO — The U.S. Coast Guard Barque Eagle (WIX 327), known as “America’s Tall Ship,” is scheduled to visit San Diego on Friday, Aug. 8, marking its first port call to the city since 2008.

Media are invited aboard the 295-foot training vessel for a guided tour and the opportunity to interview crew members and cadets.

WHAT: Media availability aboard the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Eagle, including a ship tour and interviews with the crew and cadets.

WHEN: Friday, Aug. 8, 2025 at 1 p.m.

WHERE: B Street Pier, 1140 North Harbor Drive, San Diego

NOTE:

Media must present valid press credentials upon arrival. A Coast Guard representative will escort confirmed media from the gate to the vessel.
