Coast Guard relieves commanding officer of Centralized Service Desk

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Coast Guard temporarily relieved Lt. Cmdr. George O. Ziwortin, commanding officer of the Centralized Service Desk (CSD) in St. Louis, Missouri, Tuesday. 

Rear Adm. Jason Tama, commander, Coast Guard Cyber Command, temporarily relieved Ziwortin due to loss of confidence.  

Lt. Kevin Garcia has temporarily assumed command of the CSD. There is no degradation to CSD mission success or capabilities.

The CSD provides 24-7 information technology and electronics support for approximately 400 Coast Guard systems.
