U.S. Coast Guard Barque Eagle Media Availability Wednesday, July 9

SEATTLE — For the first time since 2008, the U.S. Coast Guard Barque Eagle (WIX 327), America’s Tall Ship, will be visiting Seattle. The USCG invites local media to take a tour and interview crew members on Wednesday July 9. 

Event Details: 

  • What: Tour of the U.S. Coast Guard Barque Eagle (WIX 327) and opportunities to interview members of the crew. 

  • When: Wednesday July 9, 1:00 PM (We ask that media arrive at least 20 minutes prior to event start time.) 

  • Where: Pier 66, Port of Seattle.  

Opportunities Include: 

  • Tour of the U.S. Coast Guard Barque Eagle (WIX 327)  

  • Interviews with the crew and U.S. Coast Guard Academy cadets 

RSVP Information: 

Media interested in attending must RSVP by Wednesday, July 9, at 9:00 a.m. Please respond to the Coast Guard Public Affairs Office at uscgd13@uscg.mil.  

Note: Media representatives are required to present valid press credentials upon arrival. A Coast Guard representative will meet you at the gate.
