MEDIA ADVISORY: U.S. Coast Guard Academy change of command

NEW LONDON, Conn. — The Coast Guard Academy will be hosting a change of command ceremony. At the event, Rear Adm. Gregory Rothrock will relieve Rear Adm. Michael Johnston as Superintendent of the Academy. Adm. Kevin Lunday, Acting Commandant of the Coast Guard, will preside over the ceremony. 

WHO: Coast Guard Academy, Adm. Kevin Lunday, Rear Adm. Michael Johnston, and Rear Adm. Gregory Rothrock. 

WHAT: Change of Command ceremony. 

WHEN: Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 1 p.m.

WHERE: Leamy Hall AuditoriumUnited States Coast Guard Academy, 15 Mohegan Ave., New London, CT 06320.
