NEW YORK – The Coast Guard Art Program (COGAP) will present its 2025 collection at the Salmagundi Club in New York City from July 1 through July 29, 2025.
The Salmagundi Club is located at 47 Fifth Avenue in New York. The event is free, open to the public, and can be seen Tuesday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
This year’s exhibition will feature 34 works by 24 artists, depicting the diverse missions of the Coast Guard, including search and rescue operations, inspections, patrols and interdictions. Additionally, 24 works from previous years will be on display at the Salmagundi Club.
Following the Salmagundi Club exhibition, the 2025 collection will be showcased at Federal Hall National Memorial in lower Manhattan for a two-month exhibition beginning August 4, the birthday of the Coast Guard.
COGAP uses fine art to educate the public about the Coast Guard’s role in safeguarding the nation. The service continues to confront a range of challenges as it executes missions in defense readiness, ports, waterways and coastal security, and the interdiction of illegal drugs and migrants. Through compelling imagery, COGAP art provides a powerful visual narrative of the Coast Guard’s military, humanitarian, and law enforcement responsibilities.
COGAP artwork is exhibited in museums nationwide and displayed in the offices of members of Congress, Cabinet secretaries, senior government officials, and military leaders, as well as at Coast Guard locations across the country.
The program’s artists—a talented cadre of professionals—donate their works to the collection, which now comprises over 2,300 pieces portraying the daily missions of the Service’s active-duty personnel.
This year marks COGAP’s 44th anniversary. Since its inception, the program has been sponsored by the Salmagundi Club, a historic New York City art and cultural center.
Federal Hall is located at 26 Wall Street. Exhibitions at both venues are free and open to the public.
