Media Advisory: Coast Guard to hold change of command ceremony at Training Center Cape May, NJ

CAPE MAY, NJ — U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Cape May is scheduled to hold a change of command ceremony in Cape May, NJ, Tuesday.

Who: Capt. Warren Judge is scheduled to transfer command of Coast Guard Training Center Cape May to Capt. Amanda Lee.

What: The change of command ceremony marks a transfer of total responsibility and authority from one individual to another. It is a time-honored tradition, conducted before the assembled crew, as well as honored guests and dignitaries to formally demonstrate the continuity of the authority within a command.

When: Tuesday, June 24, at 11 a.m.

Where: SA William R. Flores Gymnasium, 1 Munro Avenue, Cape May, N.J., 08204.

Media must RSVP to uscgbootcamppublicaffairs@uscg.mil by 10 a.m., Monday June 23rd. Media are reminded they will go through security to access the base and should arrive no later than an hour before the event begins.
