Coast Guard extends Base Seattle Modernization Record of Decision issuance date

SEATTLE – The Coast Guard has extended the timeline to finalize the Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) for the Base Seattle modernization project from April 30, 2025, until October 31, 2025.   

This deadline extension will allow the U.S. Coast Guard to further assess potential impacts to federally recognized tribes, the economy, the environment, and stakeholders prior to signing a Record of Decision.  

The U.S. Coast Guard intends to issue the Record of Decision no later than October 31, 2025. The Final PEIS is available at the following online location: https://www.dcms.uscg.mil/NEPA.
