Media Advisory: Coast Guard to hold Change of Command ceremony at the Port of Miami

MIAMI — The U.S. Coast Guard Sector Miami crew is scheduled to hold a change of command ceremony, Thursday, at the Port of Miami.

Capt. Chris Cederholm is scheduled to transfer command of Coast Guard Sector Miami to Capt. Frank Florio.

WhatThe change of command ceremony marks a transfer of total responsibility and authority from one individual to another. It is a time-honored tradition, conducted before the assembled crew, as well as honored guests and dignitaries to formally demonstrate the continuity of the authority within a command.

Where: The second floor of Terminal V - Virgin Voyages 718 N Cruise Blvd, Miami, FL 33132

When: Thursday, April 24, 11 a.m.
