INDIANAPOLIS — The U.S. Coast Guard is scheduled to hold a grand opening event celebrating the first recruiting office in Indianapolis Saturday, from 9-11 a.m.
The event is open to the public and activities will include a ribbon cutting ceremony and music. Regional Coast Guard leadership staff and various Coast Guard members representing the ratings of Operations Specialist, Information Systems Technician, Storekeeper and Yeomen will be available to answer questions.
The Coast Guard recruiting office will offer free refreshments while supplies last.
“We are excited to expand the Coast Guard’s recruiting reach into the Indianapolis area with this new office.” said Capt. Ben Keffer, Commanding Officer of U.S. Coast Guard Recruiting Command. “We are confident that the opportunities available in the Coast Guard will resonate with a group that previously did not have exposure to our great service.”
