On May 25, at approximately 9:30 a.m. the Coast Guard District 8 watchstanders received a signal from a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) aboard a 28-foot center console. The Watchstanders deployed a Coast Guard Station Dauphin Island 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boatcrew to begin searching in the approximate location of the PLB signal. The boatcrew was able to locate the five men floating in the water after their vessel capsized. The men were brought aboard the Coast Guard vessel and transported back to Station Dauphin Island. No injuries were reported.

Coast Guard Station Dauphin Island crew members will be available for media interviews.
