UPLAND, Calif. — The Coast Guard is scheduled to hold a grand opening event Saturday, for a new recruiting office in Upland, California, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event is open to the public and will include a raffle drawing, corn hole, pop-a-shot and spinning wheel. The Coast Guard Mobile Command Center along with various Coast Guard members representing the ratings of Aviation Survival Technicians, Culinary Specialists and Divers will be in attendance to answer questions the public might have. Coast Guard Maritime Safety and Security Team (MSST) LA/LB will also be in attendance with a small boat providing tours.
The Coast Guard will be offering free pizza, chips and drinks while supplies last and there will be two local food trucks in attendance for purchase.

Ben Keffer, Commanding Officer of U.S. Coast Guard Recruiting Command. “We are beyond excited to open the doors to this new location and look forward to serving in and becoming a part of this vibrant community.”
