NEW ORLEANS — The Coast Guard medevaced a 50-year-old man from a 302-foot vessel approximately 80 miles offshore Dauphin Island, Alabama, Monday.

Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders received a call at approximately 2:17 p.m. from the captain of the vessel requesting assistance to medevac a crewmember experiencing heart-attack-like symptoms.
