LOUISVILLE — The Coast Guard is scheduled to hold a media event for the re-opening of Coast Guard Recruiting Office Louisville, Ky., Saturday.

This re-opening will introduce Coast Guard presence in the city of Louisville at a new location. The recruiting office is one of 57 accession offices throughout the nation committed to enlisting new members of the Coast Guard who will join in missions to safeguard the American people, uphold national security and steward economic prosperity in a complex and evolving maritime environment.
The event will include a Q&A with Coast Guard members, a static display of a Coast Guard small boat, tours of the facility, food and drink, giveaways, games and music.
