MEDIA ADVISORY: Coast Guard, partner agencies to hold safe boating briefing ahead of Memorial Day weekend

The Coast Guard, along with partner agencies are scheduled to hold a press conference to promote best safe boating practices at Crandon Park Marina, May 25, ahead of Memorial Day weekend.

WHO: The Coast Guard, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and representatives from Customs and Border Protection, Miami-Dade Police and Fire Rescue, City of Miami Police and Fire Rescue, Key Biscayne Police, North Bay Village Police, North Miami Beach Police, Aventura Police, and the National Safe Boating Council.

WHAT: Press briefing to promote safe boating for National Safe Boating Week and a personal watercraft demonstration ahead of the Memorial Day Weekend.

WHEN: Thursday, May 25 at 10 a.m.

WHERE: Crandon Park Marina Boat Ramp, 4000 Crandon Boulevard, Key Biscayne, FL., 33149

WHY: With the increase in boating traffic as the Memorial Day weekend approaches, the Coast Guard, FWC, marine law enforcement partners and local first responders invite all media to attend the press briefing to get the safe boating message out to the boating public.
