MEDIA AVAILABILITY: Coast Guard to conduct multi-agency training during National Safe Boating Week

Editor's Note: Media are requested to RSVP by 6 p.m., Tuesday, to the Coast Guard public affairs detachment Jacksonville office at 786-449-4059.

 

WHO: Coast Guard Station Mayport, Nassau County Sherriff’s Department, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Department, St. John’s Country Sheriff’s Department, St. Augustine Fire Department, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and U.S. Space Force crews.

 

WHAT: The Coast Guard and partner agencies will conduct training in accordance with the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) Boat Operator for Search and Rescue (BOSAR) training course. A Coast Guard Air Station Savannah aircrew will participate in the training exercise during the on-the-water training portion.
