MEDIA ADVISORY: Coast Guard to host career day event in Morgan City, Louisiana.

WHAT: Coast Guard to host career day with opportunities to talk with and learn about the many careers paths the Coast Guard offers.  

​WHO: Personnel from Coast Guard Cutter Axe, Coast Guard Cutter Amberjack, Coast Guard Maritime Safety and Security Team New Orleans, Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans, Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit Morgan City, Coast Guard Aids to Navigation Team Morgan City, Coast Guard Recruiting Office New Orleans. 

WHEN:  10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, March 11.​​ 

WHERE: 800 Youngs road, Morgan City, LA, 70380 .

NEW ORLEANS — The Coast Guard is scheduled to host a career day event in Morgan City, Louisiana, Saturday.

The event is open to the public and provides an opportunity for attendees to learn more about Coast Guard missions, explore the services many career paths, meet with local Coast Guard personnel, and learn about the updated requirements and guidelines for joining the Coast Guard. The day will also include a tour of multiple Coast Guard assets including two Coast Guard cutters and an opportunity to watch the landing and take-off of a Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter.
