U.S. Coast Guard commissions 63rd Fast Response Cutter honoring 9/11 hero
The U.S. Coast Guard commissions its newest Fast Response Cutter, Coast Guard Cutter Jeffrey Palazzo (WPC 1163), during a ceremony in New York City, Sept. 12, 2026. The cutter is named in honor of Jeffrey Palazzo, a New York City firefighter and Coast Guard reservist who made the ultimate sacrifice while responding to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center.
