U.S. Coast Guard and Australia strengthen maritime partnership
Lt. Jacob Behne, the combat systems officer on Coast Guard Cutter Midgett (WMSL 757) and Senior Border Force Officer Tim Jeffs with the Australian Border Force discuss similarities between the organizations on the bridge of the Midgett on Feb. 28, 2025. Behne previously deployed to Jeffs’ unit in the Torres Strait as an observer as part of the Coast Guard and Australian Border Force’s Memorandum of Agreement.
