Coast Guard Cutter Active rescues sea turtles
U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Active’s crew successfully rescued three endangered loggerhead sea turtles in the Pacific Ocean, July 10, 2023. The turtles were tangled in abandoned fishing gear, and the crew members removed the derelict gear and properly disposed of it to prevent further harm to wildlife. (U.S. Coast Guard photo)
