USCGC Oliver Henry returns to Guam after strengthening partnerships in Oceania during mission to combat illegal fishing in Pacific
The USCGC Oliver Henry (WPC 1140) crew, by invitation, holds a dialogue and observes local customs with the Piailug family and other elders on the island of Satawal in the Federated States of Micronesia on April 6, 2023. Home to about 500 inhabitants, the community hosted its first Pwo – Master Navigator Indoctrination Ceremony since 2007. The cutter crew was on a 30-day patrol supporting the Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency's Operation 365 and Operation Rematau to stop illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing in the Pacific.
