Coast Guard Cutter Waesche returns home following 90-day counter
The Coast Guard Cutter Waesche (WMSL 751) transits the Oakland Estuary as the crew navigates home to Coast Guard Base Alameda, California, March 31, 2023, following a 90-day counternarcotics deployment. Waesche’s crew interdicted two suspected drug-smuggling vessels while patrolling international waters of the Eastern Pacific Ocean, resulting in the seizure of approximately 881 pounds of cocaine and 9,500 pounds of marijuana.
