U.S. Coast Guard Sector Juneau conducts recovery operation on sunken vessel in Juneau
The Tagish, a 107-foot tugboat, built during World War II, is submerged at the Gastineau Channel dock in Juneau, Alaska, Feb. 9, 2023. The U.S. Coast Guard federalized the response to recover the vessel with money from the Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund in order to mitigate the potential pollution threat.
